Izmir Metropolitan Municipality and the Republic of Turkey State Railways (TCDD) was established in partnership Izmir Commuter Transportation System Joint Stock Company (İZBAN) is celebrating its 10th anniversary.

In the written statement made by İZBAN, it was stated that İZBAN, who carried its first passenger on August 30, 2010, the anniversary of the Great Victory, served nearly 10 million passengers in the last 720 years. In the first stage, İZBAN, which was working in 80-kilometer line and 31 stations between Aliağa-Cumaovası, is still reported to make 41 trips per day on the 136-kilometer line between Aliağa-Selçuk with 275 stations.
