Mayor of Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç experienced the excitement of the kick-off of the first tournament in the “High Altitude Camp Center”, which was brought to life with his instruction, bringing a new breath to Erciyes, which has taken on a completely different identity with the investments of the Metropolitan Municipality. President Büyükkılıç, together with Hes Kablo Kayserispor President Berna Gözbaşı, made the kickoff of the first tournament in the High Altitude Camp Center, which will make Erciyes the center of sports.
The High Altitude Camp Center, whose first 2 fields have been completed by the Metropolitan Municipality and planned an indoor sports hall and swimming pool with 6 fields, opened its doors with the Erciyes Cup Football Tournament. Metropolitan Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç attended the opening of the four-way tournament between Kayserispor, Konyaspor, Eskişehirspor and Adana Demirspor U19 teams, together with Hes Kablo Kayserispor Club President Berna Gözbaşı.
Mayor Büyükkılıç, in the statement he made with Hes Kablo Kayserispor President Berna Gözbaşı before the kick-off of the tournament, stated that the High Altitude Camp Center will increase the value of Erciyes and make Erciyes the center of sports.
“A quadruple tournament is currently being held here. Our two football fields that we finished in this region, which we call the High Altitude Camp Center at an altitude of 1800 meters, started to serve with dressing rooms and a fitness center. I announce here that we will build six more fields of the same standard that we have put out to tender. Our aim is to call this value in Kayseri as the High Altitude Camp Center as our Erciyes deserves. We want foreign currency going abroad not to go unnecessarily. On the contrary, we want to ensure that teams from abroad come to our city and country. All of our intentions and efforts are in this direction. With previous studies, agreements had been made with teams from abroad, but had to be interrupted due to the limitation in travel due to the pandemic process. But we believe this is the beginning. Hopefully, our contractor company, which will do this work in the upcoming period, will ensure that teams from abroad and domestically come to Kayseri. Currently, all hotels in Erciyes are fully occupied. There is also a cycling-related camping. A group will come from America, if there is no problem in terms of flight. In short, we share that we think of using this place as a camp center and that we want it to be remembered as such. We would like to welcome our teams, especially Kayserispor, Eskişehirspor, Konyaspor and Adanademir sports. We hope that these tournaments will continue after the four tournament. This is a beginning. We are making this start with our very valuable Kayserispor President ”.

In addition, we enjoy seeing that the construction of four new hotels has started, some of them have been laid, some are in the project phase, and with these works, the number of our hotels has increased. It will be possible to come here not only in winter but also in summer.
