While all application projects related to the Labor - City Hospital Rail System Line, which was designed to ensure uninterrupted transportation to Bursa City Hospital and transferred to the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure with the protocol made in May, are completed, the approval of the Presidency is awaited for the tender.
The Labor - High Speed Train - City Hospital Extension Line project of Bursa Metropolitan Municipality was transferred to the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure with the decision of the Council of Ministers. After this decision was signed by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and published in the Official Gazette on February 25, the manufacturing process was transferred to the Ministry with the protocol signed between the Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş and the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, which accelerated the traffic between Bursa and Ankara. According to the protocol signed, the General Directorate of Infrastructure Investments will receive authorization from the Presidency Strategy and Budget Directorate for the project to be tendered. The General Directorate of Infrastructure Investments, which will transfer the line to the Metropolitan Municipality after the tender is made and the entire manufacturing process is completed, will also provide the supply of rail system vehicles.
The tender
The Metropolitan Municipality, which completed the application projects regarding both the route and the rail system line to be implemented within the scope of the protocol signed with the Ministry, delivered all projects to the General Directorate of Infrastructure Investments. The General Directorate of Infrastructure Investments, which completed all the necessary works for the tender, also sent the file to the Presidency for tender approval. While the tender is expected to be put out in a short time after the approval of the Presidency, the Emek - High Speed Train - City Hospital Extension Line will be the first rail system line built by the Ministry in Bursa. Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş reminded that Bursa City Hospital, which has a total bed capacity of 6 in 355 different hospitals, has provided excellent services since the day it was opened, and said that they are working on alternative transportation routes to the hospital. Mayor Aktaş stated that Bursa is a rapidly developing city and that they are making great efforts to eliminate the traffic and transportation problems that emerged with this development and said, “We are trying to use the facilities of both our Metropolitan Municipality and our state and different ministries. Emek - City Hospital Rail System Line is one of these projects. Hopefully, if nothing goes wrong, we expect the tender to be held soon.
