Who is Antonio Banderas

José Antonio Domínguez Banderas (born 10 August 1960, Málaga) is a Spanish player.

The childhood of Banderas, who was born on 10 August 1960, coincided with the years when fascist Franco's oppressive regime was felt most intensely. As a very approachable boy, Antonio dreamed of becoming a great person in the future. Planning to be a good football player for the first time, Banderas had to give up his love at an early age after suffering a serious injury. The actress, who discovered her predisposition to acting with Milos Forman's acclaimed movie "Hair" (1979), started to appear on the stage when she was 10 years old, despite all the objections of her family. He traveled Spain with the theater company he founded with his friends and performed street shows. Shortly after moving to Madrid in 1981, the actress had the opportunity to prove herself and qualified for the Spanish National Theater.

The actor who met the famous Spanish director Pedro Almadovar during his theater years, stepped into the cinema with this talented and combative director. Adored by Almadovar's intelligence and his outlook on cinema, the actor decided to help the director trying to establish a new film industry in Spain. In 1982, Banderas starred in the director's sex comedy "Labyrinth of Passion" and had the opportunity to work with Almadovar on films such as Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown and "Law of Desire".

Cinema career
Banderas took his first step into the film industry in 1983, and in 1990 Almadovar's “Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down! ” He portrayed a charismatic mental patient who kidnaps a porn star and keeps him tied in bed until he falls in love with him. The actor, who set his course to Hollywood after this film, starred in Arne Glimcher's adaptation of a Pulitzer-winning novel, "The Mambo Kings". Banderas, who is still very young and inexperienced, trained in Berlitz School and corrected his English to be able to play in this film.

In 1993, in the movie "Philedelphia" starring Tom Hanks and Denzel Washington, he played a homosexual who tries to boost morale to his girlfriend who has AIDS. Banderas, who played gay characters in films such as Almadovar's "Law of Desire" before, had no difficulty in this movie by Jonathan Demme. The actor, who enjoys playing complex characters, includes actors such as Jeremy Irons, Meryl Streep and Glenn Close in “The House of the Spirits” (1993), Neil Jordan's “Interview With the Vampire”, and “Desperado” starring Salma Hayek. (1995) became famous with the films. In the movie "Assasins" (1995), in which he co-starred with Sylvester Stallone, he portrayed a ruthless professional murderer, successfully showing every role he played.

In 1995, he fell in love with Melanie Griffith, with whom he co-starred in the movie "Two Much." He divorced his wife of eight years, Ana Leza, and married Griffith a year later. The actress, who played with Madonna in "Evita", the only musical in her career, starred in the 1998 commercial film "The Mask of Zorro" with Catherine Zeta-Jones. In 1999, he starred in the movie "The 13th Warrior," based on Michael Crichton's Xth century novel "Eaters of the Dead" about man-eating monsters.

Years of maturity
The actor who made his directorial debut that same year shot "Crazy in Alabama" starring Griffith. After this movie, he starred with Woody Harrelson in Rod Shelton's boxing movie "Play it to the Bone". In 2000, the actor who starred in the movie "The White River Kid", which is about the adventures of a murderer who commits serial murder with a red-throated bible herald, played the same year as a linguist who found traces of a rational life in another world. He starred in the movie named.

The handsome actor Banderas starred in the children's movie Spy Kids, whose first film was shot in 2001, then he starred in many films, but he did not forget the children and voiced the role of Puss in Boots in the animated film Shrek and once again received great acclaim. The last movie that Banderas starred and spread was Mom's Lover, in which he played the role of a secret agent. He is still filming Pedro Almodavar's new movie, La Piel que Habito (The Skin I Live In).

Hollywood star Antonio Banderas, who turned 10 on August 2020, 60, announced that the corona virus test was positive in his post for his birthday.
