Who is Sami Hazinses?

Sami Hazinses (born Samuel Agop Uluçyan, 30 August 1925 – 23 August 2002) is a Turkish film actor of Armenian origin. Born in the Hançepek neighborhood of Diyarbakır in 1925, Hazinses came to Istanbul to work after primary school. He started his acting career in 1953 with the role of Kara Davut, directed by Mahir Canova and starring Cüneyt Gökçer, Atıf Kaptan and Muhterem Nur. Hazinses, whose roles grew with the films he translated in the following years, managed to become one of the unforgettable comedy artists of Turkish cinema. Besides acting, Hazinses also worked on lyrics and composition. Zeki Müren sang the artist's work "A Dilbere Adopted Crazy Heart". [citation needed] One of his most well-known works is the classic song "Derdimi Kimlere Desem (Listen to Me, Mountains)" sung by many artists, especially Müslüm Gürses and İbrahim Tatlıses.

Death

He passed away on August 23, 2002. Funeral Kadıköy After he was built in Surp Takavor church, his body was buried in Hasanpaşa Armenian cemetery.
