Registration Started at the Center for Mediterranean Languages

Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Tunç SoyerMediterranean Languages ​​Center, one of the election promises of Turkey, opened its doors. The Center, where the official languages ​​of the coastal countries of the Mediterranean will be taught, aims to provide quality foreign language education in an economical way.

Registration for foreign language courses has started at Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Center for Mediterranean Languages. The Center for Mediterranean Languages ​​will provide education in the official languages ​​of the countries on the Mediterranean coast, including Italian, Spanish, Greek, Arabic and French. Aiming to highlight İzmir's port city identity and rich historical background by investing in the people in the city, the Metropolitan Municipality plans to increase the cultural exchange between all cities of the Mediterranean and İzmir and further strengthen the friendship ties with this project.

One course will last 9 weeks

4 classrooms will be established for each language in the center, in the building number 3 on Konak Şehit Fethi Bey Street, during the weekday, in the evening and at the weekend. A course will be completed in 4 weeks with 9 hours of lessons per week. Courses will start on September 14, 2020 and all courses will be at "Beginner" (A1) level.

Registration fee per course was determined as 180 TL. Those who want to register must apply from the address akdenizdilleri.izmir.bel.tr. For registration, only trainees must be over 16 years old.

Measures will be taken against the epidemic

The content of the training to be given by the instructors of Ankara University TÖMER staff will be in European Language Portfolio standards and those who successfully complete the courses will be given internationally valid documents.

Coronavirus measures were taken at the Mediterranean Languages ​​Center. Classes were created considering physical distance.
