Kovid-19 Inspection from the Ministry of Transport to Tour Boats!

Turkey with its investments in transportation mode which became the center of important projects of Transport and Infrastructure Ministry, Kovid-19 outbreak of measures taken and peyd in the process existent in the epidemic process with applications that implement Turkey's transportation network services and to continue to transport investments provided. In this process, the Ministry, which did not give up the safety and control for the life health of the citizens in both its construction sites and all transportation services, also increased its inspection studies.

Within the scope of combating coronavirus, off-schedule inspections were carried out on daily tour boats by the Port Authorities of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure on 15-16 August 2020 in order to ensure the safety of navigation and the safety of sea life, property and environment.

During the inspections, documents were checked on whether the boats comply with the passenger capacity limitations, cruise safety, social distance, hygiene rules and fire measurements.

As a result of the work carried out, 319 ships were inspected and 16 ships were found not to comply with the requirements of the legislation, and administrative fines were imposed.

During the inspections, information and warnings were also given to boat owners, captains and passengers about the Kovid-19 outbreak. It was also stated that it should be checked that all measures were taken before going on the tour.

It is stated that the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure will continue its inspections uninterruptedly with the directives of Minister Adil Karaismailoğlu, and the measures against the epidemic in transportation modes will continue without compromise.
