Italian railways infrastructure company RFI Verona Vicenza announced the result of the high-speed train tender. The 44 km long Verona Vicenza line is located on the Milan - Verona - Padova - Venezia route. Iricav Due Consortium giving the best offer 2,7 Billion EURsigned the agreement. The high-speed railway, scheduled to be completed in 2027, was financially tendered in two parts. Civil works approximately EUR 1 billion and railway electro-mechanical systems EUR 1,7 billion.
Consortium members are as follows: Salini Impregilo (45%), Astaldi (37%) and Hitachi Rail STS (18%).
This project includes modernizing stations and improving the railways to Interport Freight Port.
