RURITAGE International Photography Contest Applications Started

Applications for the international photo contest within the scope of the RURITAGE project carried out by the EU has started. photographers from Turkey contests the project area Bergama, will attend the Standing Kınık and photos. The deadline for the competition is October 31st.

The "RURITAGE-Rural Renewal Through Cultural Heritage Based Systematic Strategies" program within the scope of the European Union's (EU) HORIZON 2020 project, in which Izmir Metropolitan Municipality participated with the Bakırçay Basin, continues with an international photo contest. Applications for the competition have started. Photographers from 36 countries will participate in the project area from Turkey photo contest lovers Bergama, will attend the Standing Kınık and photos. The photographs to be submitted to the competition within the scope of the RURITAGE project, which aims to transform rural areas, are required to reflect the uniqueness of the rural areas and to emphasize the unique beauty of the natural and cultural heritage.

The works are carried out by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality

The RURITAGE Project consists of 6 implementing cities, 13 role model cities and 17 rural areas under the main headings of "Resilience", "Local Food", "Arts and Festivals", "Landscape", "Faith Tourism" and "Migration", which are expected to stand out in the photographs. It occurs. Izmir is among the implementing cities under the main theme of "Landscape". The Izmir leg of the project is carried out by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality in cooperation with the Izmir Institute of Technology and Demir Enerji consulting firm.

Application deadline is October 31st

The application deadline for the competition has been set as October 31st. The owner of the first selected photo will be invited to the project closing meeting to be held in Paris in 2022. The photographs worth to be exhibited will be published at the exhibition at the UNESCO Headquarters and on the websites of the partners of the project, especially UNESCO, ICLEI Europe and the University of Bologna.
