Yalçın Eyigün, Director General of Infrastructure Investments of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, said that the claim that a cut was made in the metro projects that have been in public for a few days does not reflect the truth.

Yalçın Eyigün, Director General of Infrastructure Investments of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, said, “The claim that a cut in advance in the metro projects that have been in public for a few days does not reflect the truth. Undertaking, Acquisition and Completion of Metro Investments by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of the City Rail Transportation Systems, Subways and Related Facilities dated 25.10.2010 and numbered 2010/1115, undertaking by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure and after commissioning. It is carried out within the framework of the Council of Ministers' Decision on Determining the Conditions. ”

Yalçın Eyigün, General Manager of Infrastructure Investments under the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, spoke about the allegations that the metro projects were cut in advance. Stating that there is no advance deduction regarding the metro projects taken over, Eyigün said, “Although the Ministry has spent approximately 2015 TL for the Sabiha Gökçen-Kaynarca subway, the Bakırköy-Kirazlı subway until today (since the undertaking took place). no deductions or collections were made since they were not made. The situation is the same for the Başakşehir-Kayaşehir subway line, the construction of which was transferred to our Ministry on 2.412.678.000 with the Presidential Decree No. 2484. After the project is completed and transferred to the relevant municipality for operation, the cut will start. In other words, when the municipality starts to earn income from this line, the collection begins. ”

Eyigün pointed out that the price of the metro line was made by cutting 5% of the share of the general budget tax revenues transferred to the municipality and underlined that this transaction was also carried out by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance. Emphasizing that additional costs such as interest difference were not added to the amount of construction realized after the end of this date, Eyigün brought the following clarity to the public information pollution:

“The aim here is to realize the debt after the subway is realized with the allowance of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure without the use of municipal resources and the company is opened and started to generate income. Thus, municipalities are supported with general budget resources. Comments and news other than this do not reflect the truth. ''
