Ankara Metropolitan Municipality added another one to its people-oriented and environmentally friendly projects. EGO General Directorate is implementing the "Line and Operation Optimization Project" to ensure sustainable mobility, to reduce traffic in the city, to reduce carbon emissions from traffic and to provide a more comfortable transportation. Due to the coronavirus outbreak, the project, the protocol signing ceremony of which was carried out through video conferencing, will be carried out together with the American Trade and Development Agency with the grant of SAS.

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality continues to bring people-oriented and nature-protecting projects together with the capital city.

“Line and Business Optimization Project”, which is one of the priority projects of Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş, is implemented by the General Directorate of EGO. The $ 2,5 million project will be financed by the American Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) and the SAS firm.

EGO General Manager Nihat Alkaş, who participated in the protocol signing ceremony held through video conferencing due to the COVID-19 process, thanks to line and business optimization;

Stating that they aim to offer a more comfortable transportation to Ankara residents, EGO General Manager Nihat Alkaş said, “We realize this project entirely through grant resources. "The $ 2,5 million (17 million TL) grant is covered by the American Trade and Development Agency and the SAS company."

Expressing that they want to facilitate the lives of citizens by increasing comfort in public transportation in the capital, Alkaş gave the following information:

“While providing public transportation services, we will reduce environmental pollution in Ankara, reduce carbon absorption, provide more energy efficiency and enable Ankara residents to reach their destination more comfortably.”
