Parking Lot and Valet Officers Get Professional Status!

ISPARK, a subsidiary of İBB, the leading brand in the car park sector, signed the "Cooperation and Exclusivity" protocol with UGETAM and the Car Park Operators Association (OID) after the decision that gave car park and valet officers a professional status.

ISPARK, a subsidiary of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), which is a model for cities with the breakthroughs and innovations it has made in the formation of parking lot management and car park culture, has provided consultancy services to many municipalities and brought professional status to parking lot and valet officers. In addition, newly hired parking lot and valet staff will be able to start after they are entitled to receive the certificate. With the participation of OID and other members, İSPARK has contributed greatly to the publication of the "Parking Officer National Occupational Standard" and subsequently to the formation of two separate professions.

PARKING OFFICERS WILL TAKE THE EXAM

Continuing its activities with the publication of the occupational standards including parking lot and valet officers in the official newspaper, İSPARK signed the "Cooperation and Exclusivity Protocol" with the UGETAM and the Association of Parking Lot Operators (OID) in order to bring the two professional groups to the sector with a professional document.

Successful candidates will be given a valid document by defining the knowledge, skills and competencies with the cooperation of many metropolitan, provincial and district municipalities and the private sector, which will contribute to the creation of employment by meeting the needs of qualified parking lot and valet personnel. Candidates who want to become parking lot and valet personnel with the signed protocol will be entitled to receive the professional document after the examination and evaluation.

OCCUPATIONAL DOCUMENTS WILL BE PARKING AND VALE OFFICIALS

With the protocol signed between İSPARK, UGETAM and the Parking Operators Association (OID), documents will be issued to the employee parking lot and valet personnel of the companies operating in the parking lots in Istanbul and other cities. In addition, newly hired parking lot and valet staff will be able to start after they are entitled to receive the certificate.

According to the agreement, OID will enable the other car park sector to participate in the process along with the member organizations. After the exams and trainings to be held by İSPARK, those who succeed will be given a “Professional Competence Certificate” by UGETAM.

With the “Professional Competence Certificate”, it is aimed to meet the qualified personnel need of the sector and to increase the quality service and customer satisfaction to the highest level.
