The agenda item related to the establishment of a cable car in the area between Martyrdom and National Will Square in the Municipal Assembly of Izmit was transferred to the commissions.

Izmit Municipality started preparations for an important project for Izmit. The cable car project, which has been requested to be established in Izmit for many years but has not been included in the agenda, was discussed in parliament. It was unanimously agreed to discuss the project in the Reconstruction and Plan Budget Committee to obtain authorization from Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality.

Izmit Mayor Fatma Kaplan announced that he had a cable car for Izmit at the parliamentary meeting. The planned location is planned to be with the Martyrdom area on the north side of Izmit and one of the Eastern Barracks or Thursday Market areas on the south side. Hürriyet said, “There was no cable car among my promises. There is no strategic plan. Two areas were determined for Izmit, the company that made a cable car to Ordu Boztepe. But we do not have a budget for this. The company claims to have a solid in the field of tourism after the study. The ministry looked warm about uncovering the historical sites, re-excavating the excavation sites, and the work we do for those people to visit. " said.

The line planned for the cable car was announced between Bağçeşme Martyrdom and Izmit National Will Square or East Kisla Park. After the commissions, it will be clear whether a cable car will be built in Izmit.
