Istanbul Your Golden Horn Coasts Design Competition Concluded

The 'Istanbul Your Golden Horn Coasts Design Competition' organized by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality has been concluded. The projects that have been awarded will be exhibited in Yenikapı Eurasia Show Center between July 9-13.

The 'Istanbul Your Golden Horn Shores Design Contest', organized by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality with a participatory approach in order to keep the historical and natural beauties of the Golden Horn alive, has been concluded. IMM President Ekrem İmamoğlu, from the social media accounts that the contest concluded, 'It's not over with it; We create projects with participation, suggestion and competition. Aiming for a more accessible and green Golden Horn, IMM aims to implement designs that will highlight the values ​​of the region.

110 PROJECTS ATTENDED THE COMPETITION

In the competition announced by the IMM Park and Gardens Department on January 20, 8 main themes of the Istanbul Strategic Plan; Istanbul themes that are accessible, environmentally conscious, producing, sharing, financial heritage and unique heritage, living, participatory and innovative are prioritized. In the first stage of the contest, in which 110 projects participated, 42 projects passed the pre-selection and qualified in the final.

GREEN AND REACHABLE GOLDEN

In the final competition, the Golden Horn region was divided into 7 areas and 6 teams produced projects for each area. The designs were examined meticulously by the jury members, who are experts in their fields, city planners, architects and landscape architects. The jury, chaired by Architect and City Painter Zekai Görgülü, emphasized the green and accessibility criteria, which reflect the historical identity of the Golden Horn region. As a result of evaluating all the projects one by one, the designs that have been awarded the first, second, third and honorable mentions for each 7 regions determined were determined. The projects will be evaluated by scientists at the colloquium on July 11. Awards will be given in the evening of the same day.
