Diyarbakır Intercity Bus Terminal, which hosts thousands of passengers traveling from west to east and east to west of the country seven days a week, and East and West District Bus Stations were prepared for feast by washing them with detergent and pressurized water.
Within the scope of coronavirus measures, Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality performed cleaning work at Diyarbakır Intercity Bus Terminal (DİŞTİ) and East and West District Bus Stations. 24 hours a day, seven days a week, DİŞTİ, which hosts thousands of passengers traveling from west to east, east to west, and district bus terminals were washed with detergent and pressurized water to reduce the risk of contamination and provide a hygienic environment.
Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Department of Environment Protection and Control Department Cleaning Branch Directorate, which started the cleaning work considering the passenger and traffic flow late at night, cleaned the area with road broom vehicles after collecting the rubbish thrown in the bus terminals. In the cleaning work carried out with 14 personnel, 3 road broom vehicles, 4 water tanks, the common areas of the passengers and businesses, sitting benches and floors were cleaned, while the areas used by the passengers and buses were washed with detergent and pressurized water.
Expressing their satisfaction with the cleaning work, the bus company officials stated that the bus station had a more spacious appearance and that the cleaning work should be done frequently and thanked the staff for the cleaning work.
Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality will continue to carry out detailed cleaning periodically at the Bus Stations, which are the mirrors of the city.
