The Izmir Metropolitan Municipality continues its efforts to complete the construction of the viaducts that will connect the bus station with the “longest highway tunnel in Izmir” to be opened between Buca and Bornova. Within the scope of this large investment, which is critical for city traffic, Izmir Metropolitan Municipality started to construct two viaducts for connection to the bus station, 2 vehicle underpasses at the intersection of Kemalpaşa Avenue and Kamil Tunca Boulevard and 1 vehicle overpass for the highway bus terminal connection. He had completed 68 percent of his work. However, the construction stopped in August 4735 after the contractor company applied for the liquidation of the work based on the temporary article 2019 of the Law No. 109 entitled “Liquidation and Transfer of Contracts”.
