Turkey Statistical Institute (TSI), according to information received from the İzmir Regional Directorate, 2019 in Izmir on June 3 thousand 331 of the housing sales, of 2020 increased by 250,9 percent in June was 11 thousand 690.
In house sales, Istanbul had the highest share with 28 thousand 799 house sales and 15,2 percent. According to the number of sales, Istanbul was followed by Ankara with 21 thousand 915 house sales and 11,5 percent share, İzmir with 11 house sales and 690 percent share. The provinces with the lowest number of house sales were Ardahan with 6,2 houses, Hakkari with 29 houses and Bayburt with 40 houses, respectively.
3 thousand 530 houses were sold for the first time in Izmir
The number of houses sold for the first time in İzmir increased by 173,9 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and became 3 thousand 530. The share of the first sale in total house sales in İzmir was 30,2 percent.
In the first sales, Istanbul had the highest share with 8 thousand 253 houses and 14,1 percent, while Istanbul was followed by Ankara with 5 thousand 96 houses and Izmir with 3 thousand 530 houses.
2020 thousand 6 mortgaged houses were sold in İzmir in June 686
Mortgage house sales in İzmir increased by 1278,6 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and became 6 686. 57,2 percent of the houses sold in İzmir in June were mortgaged sales. 29,4 percent of mortgage sales were first sales and 70,6 percent were second hand sales. 31,2 percent of other housing sales were first sales and 68,8 percent were second hand sales.
Buca ranks first in house sales
Among the districts of İzmir with a population of over 150 thousand and a high number of house sales, the highest number of house sales in June 2020 was realized in Buca with 355 houses.
