The opening of the Çetin Dam and Hydroelectric Power Plant (HEPP) within the boundaries of Şirvan and Pervari districts of Siirt will be held by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Sunday at 15.00.
Çetin Dam and HEPP, the construction of which has been completed in 2,5 years, with a total installed power of 420 MW, will be opened by Limak Group of Companies with a ceremony that will be attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on video conference.
The largest tributary of the Tigris River, which is located on the Botan Cetin Dam, roller compacted concrete (RCC) type according to the biggest dam of Turkey and Europe. The body volume of the dam, whose RCC body is 165 meters high, is 4.8 million m3.
Limak Group for the construction of 600 million dollars with an investment in the total completed by Cetin Dam and HEPP, the annual average after the onset of the full capacity of electricity generation will produce 1.5 billion kWh and Turkey will make an annual $ 100 million contribution to the economy.
Çetin Dam and HEPP, which is expected to make a great contribution to our national economy in terms of using our country's domestic and renewable resources, will also greatly reduce our energy imports from abroad.
