Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank, explaining that the results of the Industry-Doctorate Program aiming to integrate the highly qualified workforce into the industry are clear, “645 doctoral students will be trained in line with the needs of our industry. We provide scholarships to these students for 4 lira per month during their education. The Industry-Doctorate Program will play a critical role in the structural transformation in industry with its visionary approach. ” said.
Minister Varank addressed the participants through video conferencing at the Technology Development Zones Coordination Meeting. Minister Varank stated that with the measures taken under the leadership of President Erdoğan, they were carrying out the difficult period with great success. Noting that they took historical steps in employment, finance access and social protection, Minister Varank said in his speech:
WE SHOWED EASY TO RENTERS: We have taken care to protect the enterprise ecosystem from the very beginning. We immediately implemented the changes to work remotely in Technoparks and R&D / Design Centers. Technopark management companies made their tenants easier in this period, taking into account our advice. Thus, we touched the lives of 84 thousand employees in 59 technoparks.
76 APPLICATIONS TO SAFE PRODUCTION CERTIFICATE: Together with the Turkish Standards Institute, we have prepared a guide for the measures to be taken in the production facilities. We give COVID-19 Safe Production Quality Certificate to companies that fulfill the measures. We received applications from 76 industrial organizations in two weeks. Inspections of 7 organizations were completed positively and they were entitled to receive documents.
1 BILLION 200 MILLION GRANT: In our 18 years of power, we built the entrepreneurial ecosystem from scratch with this awareness. We brought a total ecosystem to our country. The support and exemptions we provide with Technopark and R&D Laws and the opportunities we offer through KOSGEB and TÜBİTAK are the basic elements of our holistic approach. the Technopark; We provide grants for investments such as infrastructure, administration building and incubation center. To date, we have transferred 1 billion 200 million lira of resources to technoparks as grants.
75 PERCENT DISCOUNT RENTAL: We have a discount of up to 75 percent in incubation centers. Currently, 6 percent of 24 thousand companies in technoparks are incubation companies. It is very important for this number to increase and for more ideas to be covered in flesh. Incubation Centers should not only consist of an area of four wall offices.
WE REVISED: We revised our TÜBİTAK Technology Transfer Office support application. In the coming period; TTOs within teknopark will also be able to benefit from TÜBİTAK supports. We want to simplify the mandatory documents we request from you within the scope of the legislation. Thus, we will both reduce the document load and make it as digital as possible.
USE THE BENEFITS: Within the scope of your needs, we evaluate your demands at the beginning of each year and allocate a certain budget for you. I should say with regret that there are regions that cannot use the allowances we allocate. The remaining of the grants causes other regional investments to be blocked.
SHOULD BE EXAMPLE: On the contrary, technoparks, which are the center of brain drain, should be an example both with their buildings and the services they offer. In this context, we expect you to have a flawless understanding. Please do not bring hasty prefabricated buildings prepared as a field of activity.

We will support 47 projects of 147 universities with 188 industrial organizations. Thus, 645 doctoral students will be trained in line with the needs of our industry.
TO PLAY CRITICAL ROLE: We provide scholarships to these students for 4 lira per month during their education. Also; We also offer employment support for 500 years after graduation.
