Studies and measures taken within the scope of combating violence against family and women started to give results. In the 5-month period of this year, 35% decrease has been achieved in women's murders compared to the same period last year.

Measures taken for the prevention of domestic violence, which is Turkey's bleeding wound and violence against women, made informative activities, began to show the impact of the trainings conducted. When the events that occurred within the scope of the Law No. 2020 in the 5-month period of 6284 were analyzed, a 35% decrease was achieved in women's murders compared to the same period of the previous year. Again, in the 2019 months of 5, 19.562 protective measures were made for victims of violence, and 2020 measures were made in the same period of 70, with an increase of 33.351%.

Distance Education for Law Enforcement Staff Continues

During the period between November 2019 and May 2020, 111.773 law enforcement officers working in Police Headquarters and Gendarmerie Stations were trained on combating violence against women and women. These trainings continue with the distance education model due to Covid-19. Until the end of 2020, 150.000 law enforcement personnel are planned to be trained.

In addition, the Domestic and Combating Violence Against Women Bureau Directorate, which was established at the provincial level in order to monitor all the works and transactions carried out within the scope of the Law No. 6284 in the responsibility area of ​​the General Directorate of Police, was expanded to the district level. In this context, the number of office supervisors has been increased from 81 to 1.005.
