On 17 May 2018, the Turkish Presidency Defense Industry Presidency (SSB) tender announcement of the Aircraft Stopper System Procurement Project was published.
Within the scope of the project, Aircraft Stopper Systems (Fixed Hook, Network Barrier and Mobile UDS) will be supplied for the need of the Turkish Air Force Command.
On June 4, 2020, SSB and SDT Uzay ve Savunma Teknolojileri A.Ş. TÜMOSAN Motor and Traktör Sanayi A.Ş. and SDT signed a supply contract.
Aircraft stopper systems are especially important in emergency situations. The systems that should be active very quickly are produced with certain references so that the accident does not grow while helping the aircraft stop without damaging the aircraft crew.
