The 300 km long Doha Metro serves the Greater Doha area and provides links to city centers, major commercial areas and residential areas. The metro, which is leveled or raised at the foot of the city, is underground in the central area of ​​Doha. Metro; It consists of four lines and 100 stations: Red, Gold, Green and Blue. The Red Line is built primarily and connects New Doha International Airport to the West Bay in central Doha. The Qatar rail system network will be completed before the 2022 World Cup opening, allowing for sufficient trial runs.

Among the investments made in preparation for the 2022 World Cup, the Gold Line tender is the biggest project in Qatar with a cost of 4.4 billion dollars. With the signing ceremony held in Qatar, Yapı Merkezi and STFA signed the tender with the highest price ever received by Turkish contractors abroad. In the project, 6 Tunnel Drilling Machines were used at the same time. The duration of the work is 54 months and it was opened to the public in November 2019.

The joint venture of the project; Yapi Merkezi from Turkey and STFA, Aktor from Greece, larsentoubro from India was created by Qatar and Al Jaber Engineering. In the construction contract for the Gold Line package, which has the largest volume of Doha Metro packages, Yapı Merkezi and STFA have the largest share of 40 in the Joint Venture.

With the city's busy residential areas in mind, the metro lines in the center of Doha are planned to be completely underground.
