Ankara-Sivas High Speed Train Line (YHT) rail laying works continue uninterruptedly. Despite the corona virus (Covid-19) epidemic, studies are not interrupted, and the project is planned to be completed within the year. After the completion of the 393 km project between Ankara and Sivas, the 12 hour transportation time between the two cities will decrease to 2 hours. With the completion of the project, the operating speed will be 250 kilometers per hour and the total investment cost of the Ankara-Sivas line is 9 billion 749 million liras.
What was done on the Ankara-Sivas YHT Line
66,08 kilometers of tunnel excavation and 49 kilometers of tunnel coating were completed in 63,3 tunnels with a total length of 56,86 kilometers on the Ankara-Sivas YHT line. A total of 27,2 kilometers of 49 viaducts with a total length of 26,96 kilometers on the High Speed Train Line were completed, and only 2 meters of production remained on 252 viaducts. In the project, the completion rate of infrastructure works was 96,6%, and the completion rate of superstructure and electromechanical works was 66%. On the project route between Kayaş-Yerköy-Sivas, a total of 645 kilometers of single track rail laying has already been realized. The completion rate of the superstructure and electromechanical works was 66%. There are 9.257 tunnels in the Kayaş-Elmadağ Section with a total length of 13 kilometers. A total of 9.168 meters of tunnel excavation and 6.123 meters of tunnel coating were completed. While 1.933 viaducts with a total length of 6 meters were envisaged in the project, all viaduct productions were completed. The completion rate of the infrastructure works was 90%.
