Ankara Metropolitan Municipality continues the maintenance and repair works of elevators and escalators throughout the capital city. Urban Aesthetics Department, City Maintenance Repair Branch Directorate teams are also changing the escalators that complete their economic life in underpasses and overpasses.
Ankara Metropolitan Municipality renews the escalators in the pedestrian under and overpasses with the elevator, which serves at the points where pedestrian traffic is intense but completes its useful life.

The teams carrying out maintenance and repair work in many points, especially from Bilkent Underpass, from Pursaklar Protocol Road to Esertepe Recreation area, from Hacettepe Hospital to elevators in front of the Penitentiary Institution. He performed the dismantling of his stairs.
The teams, which lift the 2 escalators with high repair costs, which are used extensively by the citizens and whose economic life is completed, will be mounted in front of Gazi University Hospital, which is idle due to the wrong manufacturing within the Esertepe Recreation area.
38 WALKING STAIRS WILL BE DONE
The Department of Urban Aesthetics will also place 38 walking staircases that are not used within the Esertepe Recreation Area but are in need in Ankara.
Emphasizing that the Metropolitan Municipality has recently carried out maintenance and repair works with its own means, Urban Aesthetics Elevator and Escalator Unit Responsible Yunus Emre Bostancı said, “With the instruction of Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Mr. Mansur Yavaş, we are carrying out our activities in line with the goal of 'there will be no elevators and escalators that will not work in Ankara'. . We continue our interventions all over Ankara in order to provide healthier and more comfortable service to our citizens. ”
