Transport and Infrastructure Minister Adil Karaismailoğlu said that Istanbul Airport has become a global “hub” in the first year it was opened with its unique architecture, strong infrastructure, superior technology and high-level travel experience.
Giving information about the third runway of the airport, Karaismailoğlu said, “The construction of the third runway, planned to increase the landing and take-off capacity, has been completed. The track will be opened on June 14 with a ceremony that our President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will attend. ” he spoke.
Pointing out that the simultaneous landing-take-off application will start at Istanbul Airport upon the opening of the said runway, Karaismailoğlu stated that the “simultaneous landing and take-off at three runways” application is at the numbered airport in the world.
