Karaismailoğlu, who came to the city with the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Bekir Pakdemirli after the 3 Million Concrete Casting Ceremony attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan from the Presidential Complex, made examinations at Erzurum Airport.
Karaismailoğlu met with Governor Okay Memiş, AK Party Erzurum deputies Selami Altınok and Zehra Taşkesenlioğlu Ban and Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mehmet Sekmen, AK Party Provincial Chairman Mehmet Emin Öz and the relevant parties in the meeting room at the airport.
Karaismailoğlu, in a statement to the journalists after the meeting, said that they exchanged views on the ongoing transportation projects.
Karaismailoğlu, who stated that they are examining the studies on the "CAT 3A System", the installation of which started in Erzurum Airport, said:
“We have put the last point about the airport runway, which occupies the agenda of Erzurum very busy. Hopefully we will come here before the end of July and we will open this airport together. Hopefully we will not have any problems after that, we will follow the matter exactly. I hope to put this work into service in Erzurum again on a beautiful day in July.
