Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport welcomed Corendon Airlines' first flight from Düsseldorf.

The first flight organized by Corendon Airlines this season at Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport, operated by TAV Airports, was met with water jewelery and flowers. Corendon started reciprocal flights from 10 cities of Germany, Vienna, the capital of Austria, Brussels, Belgium's capital Brussels and Switzerland to Basel. Cities to fly from Germany are Cologne, Dusseldorf, Münster / Osnabrück, Frankfurt, Hanover, Hamburg, Munich, Nuremberg, Stuttgart and Berlin-Tegel.

TAV Ege General Manager Erkan Balcı said: “We are happy to welcome our passengers and scheduled flights at our airport. We started to serve domestic flights at the beginning of June. Thanks to the measures we have implemented in harmony with our industry stakeholders, we continue our operations without any problems. We are delighted that Corendon Airlines has begun direct flights from 13 European cities to Izmir as of this week. We would like to thank our airlines and all our stakeholders, especially DHMI, SHGM, under the coordination of the Ministry of Transport, which we prepared together in the pandemic process. ”

Corendon Airlines started to organize reciprocal flights to Ankara and Bodrum once a week.

Scheduled domestic flights, which started again on June 3, after a two-month break due to a pandemic at Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport, continue smoothly. In addition to Corendon, Sunexpress also organizes flights from various European cities to Izmir. In line with the Airport Pandemic Precautions and Certification Circular published by SHGM at Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport, directions and signs were made to help passengers and airport workers maintain their physical distances across the terminal.
