In addition, the Vessel Traffic Management System (GTYS), consisting of the components of the Vessel Traffic Management Center (GTYM) established in Ankara, was established on May 14, 2019. On the other hand, the Long Distance Identification and Monitoring (LRIT) System of Ships was established in 2009 and all ships coming to our ports are controlled from a distance of 1000 nautical miles. Vessels navigating within the Turkish Search and Rescue Area are monitored instantly with the National Automatic Identification System (OTS) in Ankara.
