Turkey's first local and national high-resolution earth observation satellite İmece the final assembly of Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank, Transport and Infrastructure Minister and Defense Minister Hulusi Akar fair was made by Karaismailoğlu. Following the successful completion of the tests to be passed by the end of Turkey's first production phase it is scheduled to be local and national high-resolution earth observation satellite launched into space next year. The Thermal Integration Adequacy Model (IYYM) assembly integration activities of Imece Satellite have been successfully completed in a short time like 4 months despite the epidemic conditions. the development of Turkey's military and civilian high-resolution image to meet the needs of the project was aimed meter six-resolution observation satellite.
DOMESTIC AND NATIONAL SATELLITE COMING
At the meeting hosted by the Minister of Industry and Technology Varank, the latest situation of domestic and national satellite projects carried out by TÜBİTAK Uzay was discussed. The Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) meeting, Defense Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Minister Karaismailoğlu with mites, Presidential Defense Industry Chairman Ismail Demir, Presidential Digital Conversion Office of President Ali Taha Koc, Turkey Space Agency President Serdar Huseyin Yildirim, President of TÜBİTAK Hasan Mandal TUSAŞ General Manager Temel Kotil, ASELSAN President Haluk Güngör, Türksat General Manager Cenk Şen and other institutions and organizations representatives attended. During the meeting, a presentation on activities was made by TÜBİTAK Space Technologies Research Institute officials.
LAST MOUNT MINISTERS
Turkey's first domestic and national telecommunication satellite, Turksat 6 with Turkey's first local and national high-resolution Following the meeting, the earth observation satellite of the latest situation in İmece production assessed TAI Space Systems was passed to the Integration and Test Center.
İMECE Thermal Structural Adequacy Model installation and integration activities found in the study area was carried Industry and Technology Minister Varank, Minister of National Defense mites and Transportation and Infrastructure Minister Karaismailoğlu, Turkey's first local and national high-resolution earth observation satellite did the IMEC's final assembly. Having prepared İMECE for the tests to be made, the Ministers received information about the processes until the satellite launch date. The ministers, who assembled the last parts of the satellite, immortalized these historical moments in TUSAŞ with a souvenir photo.
MINISTER VARANK: WE WILL START THERMAL STRUCTURAL TESTS
Final assembly of the then Minister of Industry and Technology Varank in statements, whether developed by the design of the space sector in Turkey's domestic and national projects with information on the latest situation said they saw the work place. Expressing that the works continue in accordance with the plans, Varank said:
“In line with the needs of our Ministry of National Defense, we will start the thermal structural tests of Imece satellite developed locally and nationally with TÜBİTAK Uzay together with our other stakeholders. We accompanied the final assembly together with our Ministers and we made a small contribution. If the tests here are successfully completed until September, we will be in the next stage of our Imece observation satellite, which will be launched into space in 2021. I hope we want to launch our satellite successfully into space in 2021. In addition, our Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure is our stakeholder in Turksat 6A, our communication satellite with local and national facilities, from design to production. Hopefully, we listened to the stages we came to launch that communication satellite into space in 2022.
Stating that the studies in the space field are very important and valuable, Varank said, “You can spread the skills you have gained in the space field to many fields of industry and technology. Today, Turkey's ability to produce its own satellite, have won this ability is really valuable. Hopefully, we will see these satellites in space, and we will use them successfully for the opportunities of our country. ”
AKAR: WILL MAKE A GREAT CONTRIBUTION TO TAF
Minister of National Defense Akar also said, “In line with the instructions of our President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, very important developments are being made in our local and national defense industry with their incentives and supports”. Emphasizing that important studies have been carried out on both software and hardware, Akar said:
“The needs of our Armed Forces are largely met locally and nationally. It is a great source of pride and pride for us that the rate of locality and nationality reaches 70 percent. I would like to state that the fruits of these works will contribute greatly to our Armed Forces in the coming days. We will experience the pride and ease of meeting the needs of the Armed Forces very comfortably and without needing anybody in terms of the security and defense of our country, in the coming days, in many different areas, in many different ways, in many different dimensions. ”
KARAİSMAİLOĞLU: VISION PROJECTS THAT PRIDE OUR COUNTRY
Lyrics to the staff congratulated the beginning of the project in Transport and Infrastructure Minister Karaismailoğlu "Our local and national satellite hopefully thriving, growing take an important place in Turkey's infrastructure. These are vision projects that make our country proud. I hope we will be together with our friends in more beautiful projects. We are always behind them ”.
TO BE TESTED IN SPACE CONDITIONS
Stating that the final assembly is completed, Imece Satellite Manager Emir Serdar Aras said, “The imece satellite will be tested in a simulated environment. Firstly, its resistance to thermal conditions in vacuum environment will be tested. Then the vibration on the spacecraft will be tested on the earth. Thus, thermal structural tests will be completed by September 2020. After that, we will start the assembly activities of the flight model of imece satellite. We are now in front of the thermal vacuum chamber. Final assembly activities in Imece satellite thermal vacuum room were completed with the participation of our ministers. Circular thermal vacuum chamber seen at the back. "The resistance to space conditions will be thermally tested by inserting into the satellite and taking into the vacuum environment in the space environment, making hot and cold cycles."
Despite the epidemic, it has been successfully completed
The assembly integration activities of the Thermal Structural Sufficiency Model (IYYM) of Imece Satellite, developed by TÜBİTAK Space Technologies Research Institute, started in January 2020. The studies were successfully completed in as short as 4 months despite the epidemic conditions. The Thermal Structural Sufficiency Model will be subjected to stringent environmental tests for 3 months after this stage and its compatibility with space conditions will be tested.
CIVIL AND MILITARY NEEDS WILL BE PROVIDED
with İmece Project started in January 2017 Turkey's military and civilian high-resolution image resolution of six meters to meet the needs of İmece Earth Observation aimed to development of the satellite. It was developed using the maximum extent local and national opportunities meters below the camera Turkey's military and civilian satellite platform used in conjunction with high-resolution display an important step towards meeting needs with local resources. In project scope; In addition to the High Resolution Electro-Optical Camera, critical equipment, software and related technologies are developed with national facilities.
TEST FIRST, AFTER ASSEMBLY
The imece satellite will be tested in a way to simulate the space environment. First, the resistance of the satellite to be tested in a vacuum environment will be tested, and then a vibration test will be performed on the spacecraft. The flight model of the Imece satellite, which will complete the thermal structural proficiency tests in September, will be assembled from now on.
MINISTERS AT “GÖKBEY” COCKPIT
The ministers also made reviews on activities in the Turkish Aviation and Space Industry. Following the briefing from TUSAŞ General Manager Temel Kotil regarding the works, National Defense Minister Akar, Transport and Infrastructure Minister Karaismailoğlu and Industry and Technology Minister Varank visited the flight operations hangars. Three Ministers, who examined the aircraft to be used in the Remote Electronic Support / Electronic Assault Capability (Air Soj) Project on the Air Platform with the nationalization of the critical systems of the F-16, went to the first general purpose helicopter “Gökbey”, which was developed and produced with domestic facilities.
