A Ferry with Cars Connecting 4 Districts Comes Into Service in Samsun

Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Demir, together with Vezirköprü Mayor İbrahim Sadık Edis, put it into service using the ferry connecting 4 districts. Wishing that the ferry, which has been a dream of the people of the region for many years, to be beneficial, Mayor Demir said, “The transportation problem of our citizens that has been waiting for years has been solved”.

Samsun Metropolitan Mayor Mustafa Demir moved to Vezirköprü district after his visits in Alaçam and Yakakent districts. Here, together with District Mayor İbrahim Sadık Edis, Vezirköprü, which was brought from Tuzla and brought to the water recently, examined the ferry connecting the Durağan districts of Bafra, Alaçam and Sinop. Having made a short trip from Vezirköprü with the ferry he used, Mayor Demir wished the people of the region to be good.

Mayor Demir, who made the first flight of the ferry, said, “This ferry built by our Ministry of Transport and brought to the people of the region has been a solution to our citizens' problem for many years. We previously worked to build a bridge over the dams. But we have seen that the bridge will not be very efficient, it will be high cost. We thought this was the right solution. We did not have any cost from the municipal source for this ferry built by our Ministry of Transport. In this sense, I would like to thank our Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Mr. Adil Karaismailoğlu. ”

Expressing that they have provided the service that this region has been demanding to the public for years, Mayor Demir said, “Today we are here for this. It was a great expectation. It will constantly pass both citizens and vehicles across both sides. "It will have served as a bridge from Alaçam direction to Vezirköprü, from Vezirköprü to Alaçam side."

Saying that the Vezirköprü Şahinkaya Canyon does not have an example in the world, Metropolitan Mayor Mustafa Demir said, “There will be a serious activity with the ferry coming here. The ferry will have a fee. We will reflect what it costs us. We will not have a profit goal. The important thing was to provide our citizens with the expected service for many years, and we have achieved this. ”
