Selçuk reminded that the needy families living in old, neglected and unhealthy houses that could not be settled as a Ministry provided shelter assistance for the construction, maintenance and repair of their houses.
Stating that the housing assistance provided with the resources of Social Assistance and Solidarity Fund has increased recently, Selçuk shared the following information:
“Within the scope of our shelter aid for our needy citizens, we have increased the maximum amount of support that a household can get from the construction of a reinforced concrete house from 25 thousand lira to 40 thousand lira and in house repair a maximum of 15 thousand lira per household to 20 thousand lira. In addition, we have increased the maximum amount of aid that a household can receive within the scope of prefabricated home-made assistance from 20 thousand lira to 30 thousand lira. We have revised our home furnishings aids, which were made after the disaster events of 3 thousand liras, to 5 thousand liras. ”

Minister Selçuk emphasized that with these supports, they aim to improve the living conditions of the needy citizens and enable them to have healthy homes. “Our shelter aid, which we decided to increase in quantity at the beginning of the fight against Kovid-19, will continue with the normalization process and after that. As the Ministry, we will continue to be with our citizens in need with different social assistance programs. ” said.
