The Istanbul Airport Outbreak Certificate Presentation Ceremony was held with the participation of Minister Karaismailoğlu before the first flight, from which the normalization process will be carried out from Istanbul to Ankara.
Speaking at the ceremony, Karaismailoğlu emphasized that after a long break, they carried out the first flight today and emphasized that the normalization of transportation services will be one of the first and most important steps for the revival of social and economic life.
Karaismailoğlu stated that they accepted the health of the citizens as “priorities” and took all health precautions at the highest level at the airports and aircraft, and that they opened the airports that fulfill the measures.
Stating that the airports that take preventive health measures with the outbreak certificate application have documented this status, Karaismailoğlu said that the certification works will cover all airports in a short time.
Reminding that they continue their transition to normalization process without slowing down and started the high-speed train services last week, Karaismailoğlu stated that the first flight on domestic lines will take place from Istanbul to Ankara and at the same time, the first certificate will be issued to Istanbul Airport.

Adil Karaismailoğlu also stated that today, inter-provincial travels have returned to their normal flows as before, and said:
“In summary, we have taken important steps to return to our old days on roads, railways and airlines. For the past month, we have been working hard to make the necessary preparations for the airports. We have issued the 'Airport Outbreak Measures and Certification Circular' in line with the measures envisaged by our Ministry of Health. Now, according to this certification program, all of our airports are being reorganized against the Kovid-19 outbreak, and as ministry, we will issue certificates to our airports, respectively. ”
Karaismailoğlu stated that up to now, the certification process of 6 airports, Istanbul, Sabiha Gökçen, Esenboğa, Izmir Adnan Menderes, Antalya and Trabzon, has been completed.
“Let our citizens be comfortable in travel”
Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Karaismailoğlu, while addressing the hygiene measures taken at the airports for travel, made the following evaluations:
“We want our citizens to be comfortable while traveling. Therefore, our measures will be implemented to cover every stage of the trip. Starting today, we are moving to a new period of isolation at all stages of the journey, from entry to airports to exit at destination. Our certificate includes not only the airport and terminal operators and ground handling companies, but also the transportation vehicles that bring passengers to the airport, and the necessary measures to be taken by each institution and organization, including passengers. ”
Karaismailoğlu, the four elements that they will never compromise at the airports against the epidemic; He emphasized that “everyone is wearing masks”, “full compliance with social distance”, “taking personal and institutional hygiene measures” and “employing protective equipment suitable for risk”.
“We meet all the conditions for travel health”
Adil Karaismailoğlu stated that they have completed their slot planning within the scope of the number of traffic to be determined at the airports, so that there will be a social distance rule between flights.
Emphasizing that they will keep the passenger circulation to a minimum, Karaismailoğlu said that in addition to the flight crew, aircraft hygiene specialists will take part and meet all the conditions for travel health.
Karaismailoğlu stated that the passengers who use private public transportation services to come to the airport will sit with the mask and according to the social distance rule, “We have taken all our precautions from following public transportation vehicles to contactless fire measurement procedures. For the time being, we will not be able to host our citizens who come to welcome and see off, except for the companions of passengers with companions. The Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Karaismailoğlu stated that they will continue the “Airport Outbreak Certification” process, which has been initiated with 5 airports in 6 major cities for now, until they receive all airports, and used the following statements:
“We expect our citizens and passengers to comply with the rules in addition to the measures taken by the state and new regulations implemented by our Ministry. We must fulfill our obligation to wear a mask without compromising, in all areas of social life and instantly. This includes the journey process. After the speech, Istanbul Airport Outbreak Certificate was presented to Kadri Samsunlu, the Chairman and General Manager of İGA Airport Operation, by Minister Karaismailoğlu.
Karaismailoğlu bought his ticket from the THY sales point to attend the Istanbul-Ankara flight, which will take place at 10.00:XNUMX am after the ceremony. In this process, Karaismailoğlu, who made constant warnings about the social distance rule, made domestic reviews with the accompanying delegation.
