Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş met with the transportation personnel who have been working in the pandemic process since the beginning of March. Stating that the damage that Burulaş will make in 3 years is in the process of pandemic for 3 months, President Aktaş stated that despite all difficulties, the wheels do not stop and the service continues.
Mayor Alinur Aktaş thanked the staff of the Metropolitan Municipality, who took their lives to the teeth during the corona virus period, who brought hot meals, bread, kitchen and cleaning materials and market nets to those in need. Meeting the conquerors of the epidemic days with the assembly meeting hall, President Aktaş also listened to the interesting memories from the staff for 2.5 months.
Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş came together with the municipal drivers who worked devotedly during the pandemic process. At the meeting in the Assembly Hall, General Director of Buruluş Mehmet Kürşat Çapar and Railway Workers Union Branch President Cemal Yaman were also present. Aktas President transmits to all employees their wishes to get past, said the last two and a half months that the world's and Turkey suffered a severe process. Stating that all segments should not give up the measure in the new process, Mayor Aktaş noted that the number of daily cases falling up to 30 in Bursa has changed between 70 and 90 in the past week, and that the society should be sensitive about mask and social distance issues.

Explaining that extraordinary decisions have been made since March and that they have implemented many activities from social aid to disinfectant, Mayor Aktaş said, “We have worked devotedly as a team throughout the process. Our data on transportation fell sharply at 80-90 percent. However, we continued our seriousness and determination. I think we gave a successful exam in this process. Praise be to Allah, we have a strong state and a president. We already anticipate a loss of 30-40 million liras annually related to Burulaş. However, we have lost 3-140 million in 150 months. We made the damage we will make in 3 years in 3 months. Fortunately, the wheels did not stop. We do not compromise our stance and our determination. Bursa is a very strong and spiritual city. It is an honor for all of us to be under the roof of the Metropolitan Municipality, one of the biggest public institutions of this city. ”
“Average price of transportation is 1.81 lira”
Saying, “A sweet smile of a chauffeur friend in the morning is more valuable than our 20 million investment”, Mayor Aktaş emphasized the importance of a positive approach towards the citizen. Explaining that they care about the contribution of the metropolitan staff in this sense, Mayor Aktaş said, “In a process where everyone tried to stay away from the street and stay at home, our transportation personnel were in charge. As Bursa, we did a good job in the difficult process. I sincerely thank you all. God bless you all. Burulaş is our biggest company among 8 companies in terms of numbers and function. Burulaş is trying to renew itself, on the one hand, and to increase the satisfaction of the citizens to the next level. Although costs have increased, we do not reflect them. In everybody's language, there is a saying like 'Transportation in Bursa is expensive'. This is absolutely not true. We have an average price term covering details such as student, long distance, short distance, wagon. This average price is around 1.69. Some discounts and hikes were made. When we compare that day and today, this price increased to 1.81. It means 7-8 percent hike in two and a half years. There has been a hike in workmanship, electricity, fuel oil. We are trying to dig wells with needles. Thank goodness we are walking the road without disturbing the harmony of any of our friends. ”
“Citizen satisfaction is important”
Reminding that the new normal process has started as of June 1, President Aktaş stated that the falling numbers at the point of transportation recovered, albeit small. Saying that the old density will be experienced again after a while, Mayor Aktaş asked the transportation personnel to direct and warn the citizen at this point. Explaining that transportation is an activity that continues 7/24 including weekends, holidays and public holidays, Mayor Aktaş said, “Citizen satisfaction is important to us. Empathize yourself in their shoes. With the new normal process, life is increasingly moving. Transportation numbers are increasing gradually. It will become completely normal soon. The nation still has a reservation about public transport. You can go from one place to another by walking a short distance or with a private vehicle. But after a while there will be normalization. The important thing is to overcome this process in a healthy way. I thank you all separately. ”
At the end of the meeting, the transportation personnel who took part in the pandemic process shared the memories they could not forget with President Alinur Aktaş.
