The RAME meeting, chaired by TCDD General Manager Ali İhsan Uygun, was held on June 24, 2020 at the Ankara Headquarters building using video conferencing.

TCDD and TCDD Tasimacilik AS, Iran Railways (RAI), Iraqi Railways (IRR), Afghanistan Railways Authority (ARA), Jordan Hejaz Railways (JHR), Jordan Aqaba Railways (ARC), Syrian Hijaz Railways (SHR) General Managers General Manager, RAME Regional Coordinator and other UIC officials attended.

During the meeting, information was given on RAME activities, and ideas were exchanged on what could be done to improve cooperation between the countries of the region and to use the railway more actively in the name of regional development.

Details of the study carried out by the RAME Office for the increase in the share of railways in freight transport in the Eurasian region were examined. Updates to RAME's 2020-2021 Action Plan have been decided and submitted for the approval of the members.

An informative presentation was made by TCDD General Manager Ali İhsan Uygun about the activities of our organization.

Within the scope of the fight against Covid-19 Pandemic, which deeply affected the whole world, member railways shared mutual information about the measures and measures taken. As part of the fight against the epidemic, what was done within RAME and what can be done in the upcoming period, the activities to be held in the region in the next period were planned.

The meeting held with the video conference method was also useful in seeing the importance of cooperation and cooperation between the countries of the region, which have been going on for many years, in these difficult days where travel and mobility were restricted due to the epidemic.
