T-629 ATAK Assault Helicopter

With the experience obtained from the T-629, T-129 ATAK Attack and Tactical Reconnaissance Helicopter Project, Türk Havacılık ve Uzay Sanayii A.Ş. It is an offensive helicopter developed by (TAI).

The "Conceptual Design Start" of the T-629 Attack Helicopter, developed with the resources of the Turkish Aviation and Space Industry, was held on August 14, 2017. It is estimated that the T-629 is the same as the project known to the public as "ATAK-II". It is known that the design activities of the T-629 have been completed to a great extent.

Turkish Aerospace Industries assault three carried out already by thanks to one of the T-629 from the helicopter project, Turkey, Offensive five-ton T-129 Attack and Tactical Reconnaissance Helicopter with ten tons of heavy Class Attack will have an intermediate platform between the helicopter. The T-629 Assault Helicopter, which is known to weigh up to six tons, will have a similar appearance with the T-129 ATAK Assault and Tactical Reconnaissance Helicopter. The T-129, which is one ton heavier than the T-629 ATAK, will have more ammunition - especially 20mm cannon ammunition - and sensor capacity.

It is known that the T-2023 Attack Helicopter, whose flight tests are planned to start in 629, will use common systems with the GÖKBEY General Purpose Helicopter.
