The Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu announced that the flights that were stopped in March due to the new type of coronavirus (Kovid-19) outbreak will be restarted on 1 June.

Reminding that the flights have stopped at the airports since 19 March due to the Kovid-28 epidemic, Karaismailoğlu said that they have made significant progress in the fight against the epidemic and started the normalization process in the transportation infrastructure in this context.

Emphasizing that it has entered a new period thanks to the decrease in the speed of its expansion, Minister Karaismailoğlu said that the first flight on the airline will be the Istanbul Airport - Ankara Esenboğa Airport flight number TK1 at 10.00 on 2150 June.

Karaismailoğlu noted that in addition to the measures taken successfully at all airports, new practices will be implemented in the normalization process in the fight against the Kovid-19 outbreak.

Noting that the Epidemic Certificate is important not only for airport operators, terminal operators, ground handling companies, but also for transportation vehicles that bring passengers to the airport and passengers, each institution / organization includes the necessary measures to be taken within its body, Minister Karaismailoğlu continued his words as follows: :

“Following our publication of our certification certification, education, information, inspection and inspection studies started to be carried out by our Ministry. In this process, we have determined in detail the measures to protect the health of our citizens who will travel by air transport and all employees serving in the sector. We focused on four main factors at the airports against the epidemic. These; everyone is obliged to wear masks, full compliance with social distance, taking personal and institutional hygiene measures, and using protective equipment suitable for risk by employees. ”

Karaismailoğlu stated that airports that meet all the requirements have started to be certified as a Ministry. Minister Karaismailoğlu stated that Istanbul Airport, Sabiha Gökçen Airport, Esenboğa Airport, Izmir Adnan Menderes, Antalya and Trabzon Airports were entitled to receive certificates, and that the Istanbul Airport's certificate will be given to the İGA management before the first time on 1 June.

Passengers who purchase their tickets through online sales channels, ticket sales offices and agencies will check their health status 24 hours before the flight via the HES code. During the ticketing and in the inquiries of the HEPP code to be made at the airports, our passengers who are found not suitable for flight will not be accepted to the flight.
