İsmail Ertan (1926 Konarı, Safranbolu Karabük), Turkish bureaucrat.
He graduated from the Faculty of Political Sciences in 1948. In 1948, he worked as an intern at the General Directorate of Budget and Financial Control and Ankara Notebook. In 1952-1960, he served as the Accounting and Exchange Expert in the Ministry of Finance. In 1962, he worked as the General Secretary of the International Economic Cooperation Organization General Directorate of the Treasury. In 1966, he became General Counsel of Budget Financial Control Directorate. In 1967 he worked as an Economic Consultant before the Consulate General of Cologne. He was appointed to the Undersecretariat of the Prime Ministry on 12 June 1974 while he was the General Manager of Revenues of the Ministry of Finance. He continued this task until May 2, 1975. He retired on June 1, 1975. In 1978 he was appointed Turkey Petroleum Corporation Headquarters.
