Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Bekir Pakdemirli stated that the cereal purchase prices they announced made the farmers happy and satisfied, and that this year TMO will buy wheat from 1650 lira and barley from 1275 lira.
Ministers Pakdemirli, which is Turkey's largest agricultural enterprises in Sanliurfa Ceylanpınar State Farm conducted the first harvest in grain, he said.
At the Ceylanpınar Agricultural Enterprise, Pakdemirli, who was behind the wheel of the combine harvester and harvested barley, made evaluations about the grain season.
Minister Pakdemirli wished the new season to be beneficial, auspicious and fertile to all producers.
Explaining that the sweat of agriculture, the labor given to the soil, the seed thrown, the prayer made and the fruits of one year of labor are collected, Pakdemirli said:
“We made our first harvest before the feast. As you know, we were pleased with our producers in cereals last year with producer-friendly policies, and this year our cereal producers are very pleased with the prices announced by our President. This year, we announced that we will buy wheat from 1650 lira and barley from 1275 lira as the Turkish Grain Board. Our farmer, our producer is satisfied. Here, labor is high, sweat is high, right now maybe we are here at 40-50 degrees, we just harvested with friends on the combine harvester. Now it is slowly unloading into trucks, these will set off towards warehouses and silos. We wish our harvest to be beneficial, auspicious and fertile. ”
