Izmir Metropolitan Municipality is bidding for 134 buses, including 170 bellows and 304 solo. The vehicles will be delivered within nine months after the contract is signed.
Izmir Metropolitan Municipality is taking another important step towards rejuvenating the bus fleet. ESHOT General Directorate, which supports 60 percent of the public transportation load, is bidding for 134 buses, including 170 bellows and 304 solo.
The tender announcement will be published on the websites of the Public Procurement Authority (KIK) and ESHOT General Directorate on Monday, May 11. Bid envelopes will be opened on 11 June 2020 by e-tender method. The new low-floor buses, with air conditioning, automatic transmission, mobile phone and tablet charging units, suitable for Euro 6 emission standards and disabled use, will be delivered to ESHOT within nine months of the contract date.

In the last days of 2019, ESHOT General Directorate added 15 new buses to the fleet and in January 2020, 52 new buses were taken directly from the State Materials Office. The General Directorate of İZULAŞ added 2020 new buses to its fleet in the first quarter of 16. Izmir Metropolitan Municipality will have brought a total of 304 new buses to the city by April 2021 with the tender of 387 buses to be made.
