Mayor İmamoğlu will appoint the first resource in İkitelli Ataköy Metro Line; Rails are being laid on the İkitelli-Ataköy Metro Line, which is one of the important rail systems of the European Side, whose construction has been accelerated. The first welding ceremony on the tracks will be held on Wednesday, May 20, with the participation of İBB President Ekrem İmamoğlu and İBB Bureaucrats.

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) accelerated the work on the Ikitelli-Atakoy Metro Line, which was slowing down in the previous period. While tunnel excavations are continuing in the project, rail laying work is started in the completed tunnels.

The first welding ceremony on the tracks of the line will be held on Wednesday, May 20th with the participation of İBB President Ekrem İmamoğlu and İBB Bureaucrats. The ceremony, which will be held by going down to the tail tunnel of İkitelli Station of the existing Kirazlı-Olimpiyat Stadium-Başakşehir Metro, will start at 11.00.

İkitelli-Ataköy Metro Line consisting of 13.5 km and 11 stations; Starting from İkitelli Industrial Station of the existing (M3) Başakşehir - Olympic - Kirazlı Metro Line, it ends at Ataköy Station by following a corridor parallel to Basın Ekspres Connection Road connecting the TEM and D100 Highway. The metro, which will take between İkitelli and Ataköy in 23 minutes, can carry 72 thousand passengers per hour.

The project will be integrated with a 5-rail system and a metrobus;

  4. At Yenibosna Station, (M1A) Yenikapı-Atatürk Airport Metro Line and Metrobus
  5. Marmaray at Ataköy Station
