Izmir Metropolitan Municipality is bidding for 134 buses, including 170 bellows and 304 solo. The vehicles will be delivered within nine months after the contract is signed.
Izmir Metropolitan Municipality is taking another important step towards rejuvenating the bus fleet. ESHOT General Directorate, which supports 60 percent of the public transportation load, is bidding for 134 buses, including 170 bellows and 304 solo.
The tender announcement will be published on the websites of the Public Procurement Authority (KIK) and ESHOT General Directorate on Monday, May 11. Bid envelopes will be opened on 11 June 2020 by e-tender method. The new low-floor buses, with air conditioning, automatic transmission, mobile phone and tablet charging units, suitable for Euro 6 emission standards and disabled use, will be delivered to ESHOT within nine months of the contract date.

ESHOT General Directorate added 2019 new buses to the fleet in the last days of 15, and in January 2020, 52 new buses directly from the State Supply Office. İZULAŞ General Directorate added 2020 new buses to its fleet in the first quarter of 16. İzmir Metropolitan Municipality will bring a total of 304 new buses to the city by April 2021 with the new 387 bus tender to be made.
