Ankara-Izmir high standard railway, the railway is being built in Turkey between Ankara and Izmir city.
The 508 km long railway that starts from Polatlı district of Ankara will end in Konak district of Izmir. The high standard railway will be double track, electric and signalization, and even High Speed Train and freight train services will be organized by TCDD. The duration of the journey is expected to be 210 minutes. The line, with a total cost of ₺9,3 billion, is planned to be completed in 2020.
Eight sinkholes were detected 1,5 km south of the train line in Sivrihisar district of Eskişehir.
