Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu made examinations on the Elmadağ Construction Site of the Ankara-Sivas High Speed ​​Train Line and feasted with the employees. Minister Karaismailoğlu stated that the recommendations of the Scientific Board were strictly followed in the face of the covid-19 pandemic in nearly a thousand construction sites where the transportation infrastructure works in our country are being continued, “Occupational health and safety measures are applied at the highest level together with the social distance and hygiene measures. I would like to thank those who contributed to the project from the contractor to the engineer, from the worker to the supplier. ”

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu underlined that with the completion of the project, high-speed train operation will be carried out on the Ankara-Sivas route, with an operation speed of 250 kilometers per hour.

Karaismailoğlu said, “Ankara-Sivas High Speed ​​Train Project, superstructure and electromechanical construction works are constructed in two stages and total 151 km between Kayaş and Yerköy and 242 km between Yerköy and Sivas.” He stated that a total of 393 stations, including Kırıkkale, Yerköy, Yozgat, Sorgun, Akdağmadeni, Yıldızeli and Sivas, will serve the citizens.

Stating that 66,08 kilometers of tunnel excavation and 49 kilometers of tunnel pavement have been completed in 63,3 tunnels with a total length of 56,86 kilometers on the Ankara-Sivas YHT line, Minister Karaismailoğlu said, “Our team's devoted 27,2 pieces of viaducts with a total length of 49 kilometers in our High Speed ​​Train Line. 26,96 km in total was completed with the project, and only 2 meters of production remained in 252 viaducts. In the project, the completion rate of infrastructure works was 96,6%, and the completion rate of superstructure and electromechanical works was 66%. ” Minister Karaismailoğlu stated that on the project route between Kayaş and Yerköy-Sivas, a total of 645 kilometers of single track rail laying has already been completed and the completion rate of superstructure and electromechanical works is 66%. Minister Karaismailoğlu said, “There are 9.257 tunnels in the Kayaş-Elmadağ Section, with a total length of 13 kilometers. We completed a total of 9.168 meters of tunnel excavation and 6.123 meters of tunnel coating. While 1.933 viaducts with a total length of 6 meters were envisaged in the project, all viaduct productions were completed. The completion rate of the infrastructure works was 90%. ” said.

Karaismailoğlu stated that they were working intensively day and night to put the project into service for the citizens in 2020 and they aim to put the line into operation in sections.
