On May 21, 2020, talks were held between the Turkmenistan Railway administrations, the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran, at the building of the Agency for Turkish Railways.
In addition, the representatives of the Uzbekistan Railways Authority and Iran's RAI "Railways of Islamic Republic of Iran" attended the meeting.
At the meeting, views were exchanged on the development of cooperation mechanisms in the field of transit transport of rail and road freight between the three countries.
In this context, the parties also evaluated issues related to uninterrupted supply of goods, including the coordinated activities of the parties, to ensure food safety.
In addition, related information exchange issues were also brought up, including the creation of cross-border health conditions in the current situation caused by the COVID-19 outbreak.
