Izmir Metropolitan Municipality started disinfection works at the mosques that will be reopened on Friday in line with the circular of the Ministry of Interior.
In line with the circular of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, on May 29, the mosque, which will be reopened for Friday prayers, began disinfection studies. Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Environmental Protection and Control Branch Directorate teams travel to the mosques to be opened throughout İzmir one by one. The places where there may be contact such as carpets, columns and entrances in the mosque are disinfected. The works will continue at regular intervals.
Izmir Metropolitan Municipality had done disinfection in mosques before the worship of the coronavirus epidemic. Public areas such as public transportation vehicles, health institutions and police stations regularly disinfect the city.
