The 2023 middle span of the bridge is an example of our 2023 goals.

Bridge construction in Çanakkale Strait is the dream of centuries. Like many dreams in our country, it was our praise to make it a reality.

In the world that will be reshaped politically and economically after the coronavirus, this bridge will be a very important infrastructure for us.

With this process, all blocks of all 4 towers are completed and an important stage in the construction of the bridge is now left behind.

While we were doing these, a section led by the CHP was always trying to prevent our works, to intercept us with lies and slander.

Attacking the fidelity support group in Van is a terrorist act involving HDP supporters. The actions of the HDP are done in the same way as the people of the CHP. The method is different.

Transport Minister Adil Karaismailoğlu: We are witnessing history here today. We are assembling the world's first towers of the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge. While the ferry service between Lapseki and Gelibolu takes 1.5 hours, it will decrease to 6 minutes with the bridge. Freight and passenger transport on our highways is increasing every day. The bridge will connect Thrace and Aegean Regions and will greatly benefit the economic vitality. The highway will be 101 kilometers and the state road will be shortened by 40 kilometers. 567 million lira will be saved annually. As in more than 1000 construction sites across the country, we act according to the principles of health first and work safety first.
