Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Bekir Pakdemirli said that the hidden treasure in the narrow valley, which is one of the vision projects of our country, reached the height of 200 meters in Yusufeli Dam.
Underlining that the dam was built in Artvin by Turkish engineers with its location and national resources, Minister Pakdemirli said, “Yusufeli Dam will be the highest dam in our country and the third highest dam in the world in the double curvature concrete arch category with a height of 275 meters.
REACHED TO 200 METERS
As of today, Minister Pakdemirli stated that 2% realization of body concrete was achieved by pouring 850 million 3 thousand m70 of concrete in the dam, and said, "The dam, where daily average 4.400 m3 of concrete was cast, reached a height of 200 meters."
ANNUAL 1 BILLION 888 MILLION KWH ENERGY WILL BE GENERATED
Stating that Yusufeli Dam is very important in terms of energy and supply security for our country, Minister Pakdemirli said, “The completion of this dam, which is a local, environmentally friendly and renewable energy resource, will generate 558 billion 1 million KWh of energy with an installed capacity of 888 MW”.
13 METERS WIDTH CAN BE MADE FROM ARTVIN TO EDIRNE WITH THE CONCRETE USED.
Expressing that the body height of the dam is equivalent to the height of a 100-storey skyscraper, Minister Pakdemirli added that a concrete road with a width of 4 meters from Artvin to Edirne can be constructed with 13 million m³ concrete to be used in the body in order to understand the size of the Yusufeli Dam.
