The revolving bridge used to change the direction of the trains at Konya Station was built in 1935. The rotating bridge, which is still actively used, is used to change the direction of locomotives and to park in a circular closed storage area.

the largest station in Turkey, a large part of the railroad depot serves gantry cranes for decades. Haydarpaşa, which has been active since 1932, Eskişehir and Adana rotating bridges opened in 1926 can be counted among the first ones that come to mind. These as well as all over Turkey are still operating gantry 1836. 26 revolving bridges are out of service today and remain idle. These buildings, which are quite aesthetic and interesting, have been proposed to be converted into railway museums and incentive studies have been carried out for this purpose.

Turkey has a different story to each revolving around the bridge. For example, Turkey's first revolving bridge was opened in 1886 in Usak. This bridge has been continuously renewed with modernization efforts despite 200 years passed and is still serving today. The story of the revolving bridge in Kargamış, the district of Gaziantep is completely different. This revolving bridge, which started service in 1922 and is no longer active, was brought from Aleppo after a long journey to Kargamış.

It takes a modernization of the gantry rotates every year in Turkey and the new gantry cranes in the world while bridges is increasing rapidly. Today, revolving bridges in America, Europe, Asia and Africa are running to the aid of railroads and their number is increasing day by day. These aesthetic but secluded vehicles of railways fulfill their functions today, making our lives easier.
