Environment and Urbanization Minister Murat Kurum, stated that no ship will be contacted from abroad which is not controlled whether it carries a sanitary risk.

Minister Kurum made a statement on his social media account; With the circular we sent to 28 provinces that have a coast to the sea; No contact will be made with any ship coming from abroad that has not been checked whether it carries a sanitary risk, and only protective equipment will be contacted with ships that are found to be free of risk as a result of the controls.

The Authority stating that no ships coming from abroad, which are not controlled for sanitary risk, will not be contacted, and ships that are found to have no risk will only be contacted with protective equipment. Mask, gloves and hygiene material wastes will be kept in temporary storage areas for 72 hours and sent to disposal. Garbage of domestic quarantined ships will be managed as medical waste.
