The test drive on the Samsun-Sivas (Kalin) Railway, which has been postponed since December 2017, started on April 27, 2020. The test train departing from Sivas (Kalın) arrived in Samsun.
NORMAL TIMES ON 5 MAY
If it is understood that there are no obstacles in the test drives, normal cargo services will start on 5 May 2020. It is not yet clear when passenger trains will be put into service.
The biggest obstacle to the improvement / renewal work reported to have been carried out at a capacity of 54 times a day seems to be the level crossing of Kılıçdede. It is reported that the absence of an underpass or an overpass in the Kılıçdede Mahallesi of the Samsun-Ordu highway will cause major congestion in road transportation and carries an accident risk.
A total of 378 kilometers of modernization work was carried out between Samsun and Sivas, which is 420 kilometers from Samsun-Sivas (Kalın) Railway, including station roads.
